Before founding FC Tech Labs, I deployed, secured, and governed AI products at one of the largest financial institutions in the US — working through real compliance requirements, security reviews, and enterprise adoption challenges.
Before that, I led an early IBM Granite rollout to internal development teams in 2022 — before ChatGPT, and before most organizations had an enterprise AI strategy.
That background — cloud architecture, AI governance in regulated environments, and hands-on delivery — is the foundation FC Tech Labs is built on.

Why FC Tech Labs Exists
AI has accelerated at a staggering pace. Models have grown more capable than anyone expected, and the pressure on businesses to "do something with AI" has become constant.
But beneath the noise, one reality stood out: most teams weren't actually benefiting.
Outside of large enterprises and tech-forward teams, small and mid-sized businesses were still buried under repetitive admin work, disconnected tools, slow reporting, and genuine uncertainty about where AI belongs. The teams that stood to gain the most were often the least equipped to evaluate, govern, and implement it.
FC Tech Labs was founded by Rafael Fernandez — who spent years deploying, securing, and governing AI products inside a major US financial institution, and led enterprise IBM Granite adoption with internal development teams in 2022, before most organizations had an AI strategy at all. That experience made the gap impossible to ignore.
